Director, Draper & Company
For the past 18 years Greg has owned and managed real estate and letting agencies in Birmingham, developing his craft and love for the property industry while watching its evolution in a digital age. While he enjoyed the challenges of agency management, he felt that too much of his time was spent on firefighting, hiring and firing, and not enough time spent on the client. Greg witnessed local estate agents offering a higher level of service than the corporate agents, however both were being usurped by the growing online agent, leaving the vendor and buyer lacking the human touch in the property industry.
Having sold his agency, Greg embarked on a sabbatical to Australia where he saw the broker model first-hand: a model that allowed agents the freedom to provide awesome service free from the shackles of being managed or having to manage a large team. A model that allowed the most talented property agents to focus on what they love and do best: selling properties. A model that allowed them to focus their time exclusively on the letting landlord or vendor to get the job done right.
While these were the types of agents who in the UK set up their own business, the Australian broker model allows them to focus all of their energy on making sales instead of an inordinate amount of time running and operating a business or focusing on tasks in which they are not skilled, nor do they want to do.
The Draper Brokerage allows agents to focus.
Brokers with Draper & Company have the opportunity to maximise their earnings without having to waste their time or money on activities that don’t deliver return. The result? An agent who can focus and earn more; a vendor who gets the very best service and a brokerage owner who can facilitate these two things coming together. Win-win.
Having run multiple businesses, Greg is on hand to help brokers with accountancy and general business advice, finding solutions and helping to relieve some of the day-to-day operational challenges.
